Our Process
There are up to 17 steps in our process of creating custom socks, headbands, wristbands, and more. Our products go through an inspection at each step of the manufacturing process. We go the extra mile to ensure our products are of the highest quality before they go out to our customers, and because of this we take a little extra time in production.
No Sweat Specialities has a longer process because we rely on the expertise of our people and our high expectations for quality. Our R&D (Research & Development) team have 172 years of combined experience in the hosiery industry, so they know what it takes to make a high quality product, even if it does take a little extra time.

Prepare Artwork
Once we’ve received a client’s order, we begin to prepare the artwork. Our designers morph customer-supplied artwork, which are typically vector files, into the the appropriate file type needed for the specific imprint process in which the customer orders.
For socks, art is translated to a “stitch format” file that is composed of pixels. This is then used to create a mockup that is sent to the customer for approval. This same mockup is used throughout the production process to ensure the products appear the same as the customer approved virtually.
Create Sample
When you place an order with us, we will create a virtual or an actual sample, depending on the process.
Many products, we will send you a photo of a pre-production sample within 72 hours of placing your order. Why do we do this? It’s one extra step we’re willing to take to ensure our products are of the highest quality and satisfy our customers.
With all knit-in (jacquard) products, we create a virtual in “stitch format” to better show you how the design will knit. For an additional charge, you have the option to have a pre-production sample sent to you for knit-in orders.
Produce Order
All of our products are produced in our manufacturing facility here in the Foothills of North Carolina. Every product we make is inspected by hand at each step of our process. Our machines create and decorate, but before they move to the next step of the production process they are inspected by our team.
Finish/Package Product
We take extra time in our manufacturing facility to ensure our products are high quality and flawless when they go to our customers. We don’t have hundreds of conveyor belts pushing our products around until someone grabs them up and stuffs them into a plastic bag. We prefer to take the extra time to inspect each product and pack it by hand.
Our manufacturing process ensures our product’s quality and our customer’s satisfaction. We are willing to go the extra mile, and while it does take extra time, we still maintain quick turnaround times on our custom socks, headbands and sweatbands.
